It could well be the exciting new inspiration you have been looking for in your college life, but at the same time things could go a little out of track with some hostile obstacles. Students can very easily become homesick, overwhelmed and discouraged but needless to say a very unique experience.
Due to the influences from television and movies many students will get various types of expectations. College doesn’t normally meet expectations seen on movies therefore it can be a disappointment to some because it is real life . Not everyone can adjust to college campus life immediately during the first few weeks but giving you time will certainly help things fall into place.
Campus college life is mostly about what you gain in the academic aspects. Yes the school work is going to be much tougher than high school but more importantly you are responsible for your own education unlike in high school where teachers kept you on track. Managing your time with several activities in the campus college life is the secret to success. Getting use to the amount of work assigned in college can be tedious but if extracurricular activities such as clubs and organizations are to be considered, it is best not to take on too much or else time management towards school and activities will be hectic
New experiences and new challenges are expected in a campus college life. The different types of people you will be introduced to and living with someone you’ve never met before are situations you will need to deal with keeping an open mind. It will not only teach you the academics, but also the basics of entering to the adult world of yours. Being open minded will help connect with different people better, learn different things about people and will help shape the way you think as an adult by becoming more understanding of others
Yes campus college life will be very different to high school in many ways. It is true that you have the freedom you never had in a high school, which could backfire you so easily. You will have to do the reading and learn it on your own because it will be heavier and tougher material. You are responsible of deadlines and tests as the only thing that matters in college is the end result, not the effort. Your parents will only be able to guide you because for the most part of college campus life, you are your own adult.
